In the afternoon of March 16th, a presentation on bamboo techniques was held in the Design Space in Hall 2, gathering eminent experts such as Professor Wang Ge (Deputy Director of Property Development Branch of International Center for Bamboo and Rattan) and Yu Wenji (Chief Expert, Tutor for Ph.D students and researcher of Research Institute of Wood Industry, Chiese Acedemy of Forestry). In the release, professionals elaborated on new bamboo technologies and their trend of development. Mr. Yu Wenji indicated that modern technologies have infused vitality into bamboo processing; the combination of several techniques like controllable separation of bamboo fibre, single veneer flattening of original bamboo, unit optimization of composite bamboo materials, broad-spectrum adhesion of bamboo fibre as well as introduction of fortified bamnoo materials, has led to the output of high-quaity bamboo composites with the ability to hollow. Moreover, the application of bamboo in producing furniture were among the topics discussed by entrepreneurs in that industry. |
